TalkToClient ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of both our business customers ("you") and your clients (the individuals your business communicates with through TalkToClient). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your business name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store your actual password).
Business profile information. The business hours, services, pricing, contact details, and other information you enter into your TalkToClient profile so the AI can represent your business accurately.
Client data. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, conversation history, and booking records for the people your business communicates with through the platform.
Payment information. We use Stripe as our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe holds that. We receive and store a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID so we can manage your plan.
Usage data. Log files, feature usage patterns, and error reports collected automatically when you use the dashboard. This helps us improve the service.
Cookies & local storage. The dashboard stores your login token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. The marketing website uses a cookie to remember whether you've dismissed the welcome popup. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
To generate AI replies, TalkToClient transmits relevant portions of your business profile and the conversation context (client messages + your AI's replies) to third-party AI providers. Currently these include:
These providers process data under their own terms and policies. Do not include sensitive personal health, financial, or legal information in your business profile or client conversations.
SMS and voice calls are delivered via Twilio (Twilio Inc.). Message content passes through Twilio's infrastructure. Email is sent via your connected Google Gmail account or TalkToClient's shared account; calendar events are created via Google Calendar. These providers have their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your data or your clients' data to any third party. We share data only:
We retain your business profile, client records, and message history for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain records longer.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and encrypted storage of sensitive tokens (Google OAuth credentials). No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a security concern, please contact us immediately at support@talktoclient.com.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

TalkToClient is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba, Canada, and applicable federal Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA / Bill C-27 successor legislation).
